Humane AI Pin Coming To India? Launch Anticipated As Talks With Telecom Giants Commence
In November last year, Humane, a company spearheaded by former Apple employees, unveiled its innovative product, the Humane AI Pin. With a slated US launch in March and priced at $699, its availability in India remained uncertain.
According to MoneyControl, Imran Chaudhari, Chairman of Humane, disclosed ongoing discussions with Indian telecom giants to facilitate the AI Pin’s introduction in India. Chaudhari expressed optimism, highlighting the overwhelming interest from Indian consumers, stating, ‘We are starting early conversations with India telcos and hoping to make announcements by year-end.’
Humane Ai Pin: Innovative Design and Functionality
The Humane AI Pin, crafted for effortless integration into daily wear, features a square device attachable to clothing via a battery pack. Interaction is facilitated through voice commands and a palm-projected laser, enabling tasks like making calls, sending messages, and conducting searches. Priced at $699 with a $24 monthly subscription for added functionality, the device offers users a unique blend of convenience and utility.
Chaudhari revealed plans to diversify the AI Pin’s applications, particularly in the medical domain. ‘We are working with partners to utilize it for medical diagnosis leveraging its contextual compute capability,’ he shared.
Additionally, he emphasized the device’s potential to offer users a novel tech experience beyond smartphones, resonating with their desire for enhanced presence and freedom.Founded in 2017, Humane has secured close to $200 million in funding from notable industry players, including Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, as well as Microsoft and Qualcomm.
